Windows VPS, Paid with Crypto — No Card, No KYC

By the NoctHost TeamOctober 5, 20263 min read

Most no-KYC and crypto-friendly hosts are Linux-only. If you need Windows — for a specific app, RDP access, or a desktop in the cloud — you're usually pushed back to a provider that wants a card and a name. Not here.

Windows, the NoctHost way

NoctHost offers Windows Server plans on real cloud infrastructure, paid the same way as everything else: a prepaid crypto balance, no card, no identity checks. You connect over RDP (Remote Desktop) with an Administrator password you fetch on demand — we don't store it.

  • RDP access to a full Windows Server desktop.
  • On-demand Administrator password — pulled when you need it, not kept by us.
  • Hourly billing from your crypto balance — spin it up for a task, tear it down after.
  • No card, no KYC — an email and a crypto top-up is all it takes.

Who it's for

  • Running a Windows-only application or toolchain that won't work under Wine or Linux.
  • A cloud desktop you can reach from anywhere over RDP.
  • Anyone who wants Windows in the cloud without handing over a card and ID.

Good to know

Windows needs more RAM and disk than a minimal Linux box, so the two smallest plans are Linux-only. It starts at the Standard tier: $79/mo for 2 vCPU and 4 GB, $159 for 4 vCPU and 8 GB, $269 for 6 vCPU and 16 GB. That is higher than the Linux price for the same machine because the licence is a real cost we pass through rather than absorb.

One more thing worth knowing before you pick: Windows runs on the Vultr backend only. The other three clouds we resell do not offer Windows images, so the region list narrows to Vultr's cities when you choose it.

How to deploy

Pick a Windows image when you create a server, choose a plan of 4 GB or more, and deploy. The machine itself is ready in under a minute, but Windows keeps setting itself up for about ten minutes after that — RDP does not answer until it finishes, which is normal and not a fault. When it does, grab the Administrator password from the server page and connect with any RDP client as Administrator.

The password comes from the provider, not from us: Windows does not run the cloud-init script that sets a root password on Linux, so there is no password for us to set or store. The server page fetches it on request.

Windows in the cloud, paid in Bitcoin or Monero, with no account paperwork — that combination is rare, and it's exactly what NoctHost is for.

Email signup, pay with crypto, hourly billing. Trying a box costs cents — destroy it when you are done.

Frequently asked

Which Windows versions are available?
Server 2019, 2022 and 2025.
Why does Windows cost more than Linux on the same plan?
The licence. Microsoft charges per instance and we pass that through rather than hiding it in the Linux price.
Can I run Windows on the cheapest plan?
No. Windows needs at least 4 GB of RAM, so it starts at the Standard tier.
How do I get the Administrator password?
From the server page, on request. Windows does not run the script that sets a password on our Linux images, so the password is issued by the provider and we never store a copy.
Why can I not connect over RDP straight away?
Windows spends about ten minutes finishing its first boot after the instance reports as running. RDP starts answering once that completes.
Is it on every provider?
No — Vultr only. The other three clouds do not offer Windows images, so the city list narrows when you select it.
